About Living Word Lutheran

Our Mission

Living Word Lutheran High School provides quality Christian education for lifelong leadership and service in God's kingdom

The Value of a Positive Environment

The adults and peers your student spends time with each week will influence and mold them into the people they grow up to be. At Living Word, we pride ourself on our positive, encouraging culture. The life lessons your student learns here - in and out of the classroom - will stay with them.

We know the sacrifice it takes for families to provide private, Christian education to their students. Time and time again, students and families have found the value of Christian education to far outweigh any costs. There is value in surrounding your students with positive role models, in providing them a safe place where they can question beliefs, and giving them the chance to thrive academically, spiritually, and physically.

We meet these needs in various ways:

 - Teachers, coaches, and administrators all know our students by name.
 - Students have the chance to find mentors.
 - We have a great mix of a small community with big city opportunities such as joining athletic teams that compete on a state level, getting involved with extra-curricular activities ranging from Robotics to theater to yearbook
 - Everyone on our staff is a Christian
 - Our academics are top of the line and are always working on improving teaching methods, curriculum, and course offerings
 - In all of our academics, athletics, and other activities Christ is at the core

We promise to provide your student with a means to academic success and ways to grow in their relationship with Christ, while serving the community to further God's kingdom.

“In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises. Supplement your faith with a generous provision of moral excellence, and moral excellence with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with patient endurance, and patient endurance with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love for everyone.”
2 Peter 1:5-7
