BOYS
The T-Wolf boys showed that they are indeed ready for the conference meet while running in their final “tune up”. The boys took second to state ranked Prairie school at the Burlington Central Catholic Invite Tuesday.

Senior David Rutkowski (3rd – 17:00) nearly broke the 17:00 minute barrier and was followed closely by fellow senior Jon Buettner (7th – 17:34). Zach Ziemann (14th – 17:48) broke 18 minutes and is there to stay. Johann Hinck (20th – 18:09) is close to doing the same and continues to shave precious seconds off his time. Caleb Aschebrook (26nd – 18:58) broke 19 minutes and is turning into a valuable 5th man with Matt Rosenheimer (40 – 20:03) close behind. Garrett Stremski set another personal record in his first race at the varsity level.

The team’s next race is Saturday, October 16th at UW-Parkside for the MCC conference meet.

Top Ten Team Results include: 1. Prairie School (53) 2. Living Word Lutheran (70) 3. Catholic Central (71) 4. St. John’s NW Military (93) 5. Kenosha Christian Life (130) 6. Shoreland (167) 7. St. Anthony (187) 8. Big Foot (188) 9. D.A.S.H. (205) 10. Messmer (294)

GIRLS
The Living Word Lutheran High School Girls Cross Country team proved to be a threat yet again, this time against top conference competition in the Prairie School. The Lady Wolf Pack proved to be the better squad Tuesday, though, taking 1st over Prairie by 4 points.

The team was led by Becca Gosselin (2nd – 15:44) with Stephanie Rutkowski (4th – 16:33), Lauren Weiss (5th – 16:39), and Katie Ziemann (7th – 17:09) all finishing in the top 10. While the top girls continue to turn heads with their speed Taylor Brown (17th – 18:14) is turning heads of her own continuing to shave time off her PR. Taylor Lorenz’s first Varsity race did not disappoint either as she yet again lowered her PR.

Perhaps the highlight of the day was the ladies proving their hard work has paid off by winning a tough meet. However, they know there is still much work to be done, and they are nowhere near their peak.

The team’s next race is Saturday, October 16th at UW-Parkside for the MCC conference meet.

Top Ten Team Results – 1. Living Word Lutheran (34) 2. Prairie School (38) 3. Shoreland Lutheran (61) 4. Kenosha Christian Life (95) 5-11 incomplete teams
