The Timberwolf football team came out flat in a slow start under the lights Friday night against Brookfield Academy. The Wolves fell to an early deficit of 6-0 and later 12-7 before coming alive right before half. After struggling on both sides of the football for much of the first half Living Word put together a vital scoring drive at the end of the first half capped by a Jake Wunder 45-yd touchdown catch and run. That proved to be enough to get the T-Wolves motivation and a halftime lead. On the first possession of the second half, sophomore Cam Werner broke through the line en route to a 78-yd scamper to build a 21-12 lead. The T-Wolves defense buckled down in the second half and the Living Word running game took control of the fourth. Jake Wunder battered the Brookfield defense in the fourth with 12 carries and 92 yards throughout the game while Cam Werner contributed his second hundred yard performance with 104 yards in total on 12 carries. The T-Wolves controlled the clock in the fourth on their way to a 35-18 win. The Wolves meet up with another conference unbeaten on Saturday night at University School of Milwaukee.
