The Living Word Lutheran High School’s Physics’s Department will be hosting its fourth annual Physics Phrenzy on Thursday at Living Word Lutheran High School in Jackson. The event, beginning at 10am, challenges students from area middle schools to compete with one another in tackling a wide variety of physics tasks.
Leading up to the Phrenzy, Living Word’s Physics students and teacher, Mrs. Kelly Staub, have traveled to the high school’s “feeder” schools and challenge the middle school students with a Physics task, such as building a bridge to support the most text books. The winning team from each school then travels to Living Word where they compete against one another with a more challenging task. The school which wins the Physics Phrenzy receives an honorary plaque.
Historically the Physics Phrenzy has included Lutheran schools such as St. John’s West Bend, St. Paul Grafton, and First Immanuel Cedarburg. However, this year‘s event has attracted schools from other denominations including St. Frances Cabrini in West Bend, St. Francis Borgia in Cedarburg, and St. Gabriel’s in Hubertus.
