The Living Word Lutheran girls' basketball team were unable to match and recover from a quick start by the Lightening of Lake Country Lutheran on Tuesday night. After jumping out to a quick lead and extending the lead to 36-23 in the third, the Timberwolves woke up and made a surge. Chanel Stelmachowicz scored eight straight points with Taylor Luce contributing a layup during the run to bring the Wolves to 38-37. However, two free throws and missed opportunities in the last two possessions proved to be too much as Living Word fell 40-37 to conference foe Lake Country. The T-Wolves look to bounce back on Friday night against conference opponent, Kenosha Christian Life.
