The business education department has been in existence since 2003. The department has seen rapid growth as far as participation and course offerings. Business education at Living Word has something for the beginner just trying to figure out an area of interest and courses for the advanced that plan on pursuing a career in the business field. The department uses the following instructional strategies in order to create the ultimate education experience: Case Studies, Guest Speakers, Field Work, Field Trips, Lecture, Small Group Communication, Technology, & Current Events. Class trips to the following organizations: Green Bay Packers – Lambeau Field (Marketing and Sales), Harley Davidson (Production), Milwaukee Brewers – Miller Park (Promotions and Marketing), & Kohler Company (Production and Design).
The Business Department is designed to:
- Introduce the world of business
- Break down different focus areas (marketing, law, accounting, management, etc.)
- Improve communication skills
- Become more familiar with the benefits of technology
