The Living Word Timberwolves jumped out to a quick 8-0 lead Saturday en route to a 31-14 victory over The Hope School.  The first possession of the game included a 4th and 8, 34-yard touchdown pass from Ben Rennicke to Kellen Batiansila.  Both teams struggled to come up with scoring opportunities over the course of the first half with the halftime score sitting at 8-0.

The start of the 2nd half kicked off much like the first with the Wolves scoring on their first offensive possession on a 4th and 5, 9-yard touchdown pass to Batiansila for his second score of the day.  The T-Wolves lead grew to 22-0 on another touchdown connection between Rennicke and Batiansila.

The Hawks gave the T-Wolves' defense fits all day long though with fast and physical sweeps and dives.  Running back Kris Hopgood broke free for an 80-yard run bringing Hope to within two scores.  The defense clamped down when it needed to though and came up with 3 critical turnovers.

The Timberwolves head to Lake Country Lutheran this Saturday in a battle of the conference leaders.  The game is set to be played at Centennial Field beginning at 2pm.
