In a matchup of last year's top 2 conference teams, Living Word Lutheran didn't exactly jump out to the start they had anticipated. The Timberwolves were dominated by the Lightening of Lake Country on both sides of the ball in the first half. The T-Wolves went into halftime staring a 24-7 deficit in the face. However, momentum took a big turn as the T-Wolves came out and scored on the opening drive of the 2nd half followed by a Cam Olson interception on Lake Country's first possession. The T-Wolves turned the tables on the Lightening and limited them to 50 yards and forced 3 turnovers in the second half en route to twenty-one third quarter points. After a potential scoring drive stalled at the 1 yard line. The Timberwolf defense came up big forcing a punt with minutes remaining. The Living Word offense buckled down and grabbed two first downs, enough to then run the clock for a 28-24 victory. The T-Wolves look to continue the win streak at Brookfield Academy this Friday at 7pm.
