It had to happen at some point, the girls varsity volleyball team finally met their match on Saturday in losing their first game of the season. Despite receiving the first loss of the season, the volleyball team bounced back and won the Cedar Grove-Belgium Varsity Volleyball Invitational though. They started the day by defeating Oak Creek 25-21 and 25-22. They then beat the hosts 25-13 and 25-14. In the final match of pool play, they were beaten by #14 in Division 2, Kewaskum, 20-25 and 21-25.
Battling back from the initial loss, the T-wolves advanced to the gold round. In the semi-finals they defeated St. Mary Central of Neenah 25-21, 23-25 and 15-11. The championship match featured a rematch against their initial loss to Kewaskum. This time, the results were different, as the T-wolves showed the true mark of a competitor and triumphed 25-21, 22-25 and 15-11.
For the day, Jenn Schleg led the T-wolves with 51 kills and tied Kaitlan Hoelz with 8 blocks. Karina Klotz led with 51 assists and 14 aces. Chanel Stelmachowicz had 50 digs. Taylor Luce finished with 30 kills and 47 assists.
