Trailing throughout most of the game, the Wolves held together through a gritty performance and pulled off a victory against conference foe Lake Country Lutheran 49-41. The Lady T-Wolves trailed all game until about midway through the 4th quarter when their full-court pressure sparked an 11-4 run to put them ahead. The Wolves defense forced 30 Lake Country turnovers, unfortunately they gave the ball back with 30 turnovers of their own. Living Word could have run away with the second half outscoring the Lightening 22-9 in the fourth alone. However, their own miscues including the 30 turnovers and a measly 6-15 from the charity stripe in the fourth kept the game within reach. Rachel Scholz came up huge for the Wolves with 13 points and 2 key steals down the stretch. Lauren Weiss proved tough on the defensive end with 6 steals of her own. Sarah Nault continued to chip in a solid effort down-low with 9 points and 7 boards. The Wolves look to build on the win in their next conference matchup against St. Joan Antida.
