The girls basketball put up an early fight against the #1 team in the league, Wayland, but could not sustain the effort in a 63-48 loss. After the T-Wolves took a 28-26 lead on a three pointer by sophomore Chanel Stelmachowicz, the Big Red ran off 9 unanswered points to lead 35-28 at half time. Anne Ruaschert scored 31 points on 14-18 shooting. "We had a good night offensively. But we could not stop them. This was the first game where our defense let us down." Junior Sarah Meinert led the Wolves with 16 points, but only 2 in the second half.  The Wolves are now 6-5 overall and 5-3 in the conference standings. Next on their schedule is February 2 at Lake Country Lutheran.
