Dear Friends,

I would like to pose a question for you-----
Would you like the best educational environment possible for your child? I know my answer as a parent would be a resounding “Yes”. Well, I believe Living Word Lutheran High School can and does offer that environment. LWLHS students come from a variety of schools and backgrounds adding to the diversity of the educational experience. Our enrollment has grown by over 40 students this year (194 total) validating the quality educational experience students are receiving here. There are many opportunities for involvement in honors and college courses, sports, drama, music, and forensics. Most importantly, this educational experience is realized in a caring, Christ-centered atmosphere.

The students really do enjoy their experiences here at LWLHS. I cannot totally explain all the reasons why, but I believe the major reason is the oneness in Christ we all share. People actually care about other people. We are proud of our diverse population including different schools, faiths, and communities.

Academically, we are proud of our early history. Our students are achieving here at LWLHS and at the some of the finest universities in the land. The class of 2010 earned a total of 90 college credits to transfer to various universities and averaged 25.4 on the ACT test. That is three points higher than the state average. Our students have been accepted or are attending UW-Madison, Marquette, UW-Milwaukee, UW-Whitewater, UW-Lacrosse, UW-Eau Claire, St. Norbert, Northern Michigan, Ripon, Augustana, Calvin, Lawrence, Missouri, Carthage, Concordia Wisconsin, Concordia Chicago, Valparaiso, Purdue, Berklee School of Music in Boston, and The Merchant Marine Academy. We also include programs for those headed to technical schools, the military, and the work force. Study skills classes, one-on-one tutoring, practical application courses are offered to assist all students. Spiritually our focus has always been on our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Our mission statement proclaims that we mold future servant leaders for church, community, and family. A caring, Christian environment is here.

Athletically we are participating in the Midwest Classic Conference. As our school has grown, so too, has our sports program. In our brief history (220 graduates) many of our former students are participating in college athletic programs. For example, in the graduating classes of 2009 & 2010 (95 students) there are a total of 16 grads playing college sports. Athletic opportunities are here.
