What do you wish people really knew about Living Word Lutheran?

At Living Word, we're a Christ-centered community dedicated to faith formation, academic excellence, community engagement, and individual growth our of students in a safe environment. But don't just take our word for it. Recently, we surveyed our current parents and students to gain an insight into what makes Living Word Lutheran different from other high schools in the area. Here are some highlights from that discussion and it really dives into the heart of our mission.

From our current parents:
-
There’s a commitment to my child both spiritually and academically. There is such a strong sense of family where my kids just fit right in and has a sense of belonging. My kids have truly developed lifelong friendships.
-
It's more than academics and it is not just the learning – it’s the complete picture – physically, emotionally, and mentally. The kids grow in all areas. It’s more than teaching Christian values. They are applying those values to make sure our kids are becoming the best human beings they can become. In plain and simple terms, lives are changed here.
-
When you look at how other schools talk about their rankings, etc., it’s all about the academics and the numbers. At Living Word, the cost is worth every penny. It’s more than just an education here. Living Word not only encourages Christian character, they help our kids understand how to apply and live their faith, while providing a quality education.

From our current students:
-
You have REAL relationships with teachers. Our teachers notice the little things. You can tell their main priority is us a people. They want to take care of YOU first.
-
You’ll fit in here. There’s no on-ramp. You’ll instantly feel like you’re part of a family vs just going to a school. It feels like home.
-
Faith was a learning thing in middle school. Here it’s how its applied to everyday life. Having faith integrated in everything here helped me grow as a person and see Jesus differently.
