Youth Summer Camps

Get the kids involved this summer at our Youth Summer Camps at Living Word Lutheran High School! We offer a wide range of camps from sports, music, and art for 2nd-8th graders. Sign up for a morning camp and stick around for an afternoon camp to fill your day with lots of fun at Living Word!

Our teachers and coaches are thrilled to offer these opportunities to compete, create, perform, and excel this summer! Most importantly, we are focused on giving you this experience in a nurturing, Christ-filled environment.

Registration

Registration for camps is done all online - it is fast, quick & easy.  Click here for online registration & payment.

Because we have to place our t-shirt order in advance, please register by May 17, 2021, to guarantee a t-shirt for your camper.  Sign-ups can be taken up too 2 days before the camp start date, but we cannot guarantee a t-shirt if you sign-up after May 17. Thank you!

  • Refunds will only be given for registration cancellations prior to the 2 weeks before camp starts.  Partial refunds will be considered under "special" circumstances, such as a family emergency or an unexpected hospitalization of the camper.  There will be a $10 processing fee for any cancelled camp.

  • Camps are subject to cancellation due to insufficient attendance numbers. We do everything in our power to not cancel any of our camps. However, it is up to Living Word's discretion if and when camps will be canceled. In the event a camp is canceled, you will be notified via email, and a FULL refund will be given.

Capacity Limits

Some of our camps do have capacity limits.  If a camp is full, it will not be listed in the sign-up form.  If you register and we have exceeded our capacity limit, you will be notified via email and a full refund will be given.  See below for camps that are near their capacity limit.

  • Our Young Artist camp is FULL.  If you would like to be placed on our waitlist, please send an email to John Winter at jwinter@lwlhs.com.

  • As of 5/6, our 3rd-5th grade Boys Football camp only has 7 spaces open.

Camp Discounts

If your child is more than one camp, we are offering a 10% discount on the additional camps.  This discount is for individual campers attending multiple camps.  It is not intended for siblings who each attend one camp.

Camp Offerings

Grade Levels are for entering the 2021-2022 school year. See below the full slate of LWLHS Youth Summer Camp offerings.  Click here to view our camp packet.

For those attending both a morning & afternoon camp on the same day, we have one hour scheduled in between camps for kids to bring their own lunch to eat.  We will have a spot for them to relax, eat, and get ready for their afternoon session!  For example, on the same day, we offer a 3rd-5th grade boys football camp from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM and a 3rd-5th grade boys basketball camp from 1:00-3:00 PM.

Basketball - Boys, John Winter - Boys Basketball Coach

This camp will focus on the fundamentals of the game including defense, rebounding, ball handling skills, passing and shooting mechanics.

Grades 3-5; June 14-17 from 1:00pm - 3:00pm

Grades 6-8; June 14-17 from 10:00am - 12:00pm

Our Jr Wolves Basketball Program is sponsoring a Youth Basketball Scoring Camp on August 2-5 for boys & girls in 2nd-8th grade. This is open to ALL kids in the community and the camp will focus on offensive skills, scoring and shooting.

Cross Country (Co-ed), Becca Gosselin - Head Cross Country Coach

The Timberwolf Cross Country Camp offers athletes the opportunity to focus on summer conditioning.  Each session will include stretching, endurance conditioning, injury prevention, and nutrition. Campers can expect daily competitions, relays and other skill-developing activities. 

Grades 3-8; July 12-15 from 10:00am - 12:00pm

Dance, Anna Krafft - Head Dance Coach

The Timberwolf Dance camp is designed to teach a variety of different dance styles. Campers can come with NO dance experience and learn a great deal or they can come with a lot of experience and be challenged while expanding their skill set. The last day will include a performance for guests!

Football, Tim Zbytniewski - Head Football Coach

The Timberwolf Football Camp is designed to develop the core offensive and defensive fundamentals essential to winning football.  Whether a beginner or an experienced player, this camp will emphasize improving specific skills and fundamentals through individual and group instruction. 

Grades 3-5; June 14-17 from 10:00am - 12:00pm | ONLY 8 SPOTS AVAILABLE

Grades 6-8; June 14-17 from 1:00pm - 3:00pm

Music (Band Only), Shannon Krueger - Band Instructor

Open to students going into 6th-9th grade who have at least one year of school band. Bring your instrumental talent and join us for a week of music and fun, culminating in a final performance!  Students will grow in their abilities and knowledge of music and performance, build relationships with other musicians, and have fun enjoying one of God's greatest gifts, MUSIC!

Grades 6-9; August 9-12 from 3:00pm - 5:00pm

Young Artist, Heather Oechsner- Art Instructor |  FULL

The Timberwolf Young Artist Camp will encourage and inspire the participants to explore and engage in a variety of art media, both 2-D and 3-D.  Basic skills will be taught in painting, drawing, and sculpture.  It will be a fun-filled environment for students of all levels of art experience, as projects will be adapted to meet the levels of students.  Dress to get dirty (smocks,etc).  Space limited, new curriculum each year!

Grades 2-6; June 9-11 (only 3 days)

Wednesday June 9 from 9:00am - 12:00pm (3 hours)

Thursday, June 10 from 9:00am - 12:00pm (3 hours)

Friday, June 11 from 9:00am - 11:00am (2 hours)

T.O.U.G.H. (Summer Workout Program), Tim Zbytniewski - Strength Coordinator

T-Wolf TOUGH is a unique program designed to develop an individual as a more explosive, agile, and better endured athlete. This program focuses on using body weight to provide a safe and easy way to improve functional strength and movement. TOUGH has improved vertical jumps by up to 3 inches! Take advantage of your opportunity to excel this summer!

Every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from June 8-August 6

Grades 7-8, 5:00 PM-6:30 PM  (open to any students in grades 7th-8th)

Grades 9-12, 5:00 PM-6:30 PM  (must be a current or incoming Living Word high school student)

All grades are mixed together on the same dates & times.
