Support Services
At Living Word, every student’s success matters. Our Support Services are designed to help students thrive academically, socially, and spiritually, providing the resources they need to reach their full potential. Students are known, supported, and encouraged to achieve their best, every step of the way.
Resource Study Hall
Our Resource Study Hall offers a structured environment for students who need extra academic support. Staffed by experienced Resource Study Hall teachers, this program provides individualized attention, homework assistance, and skill-building to help students stay on track and succeed in their classes.
Accommodations
We are committed to helping students who benefit from academic accommodations. We provide support for students with documented IEPs, 504 plans, or for students who may not have either but just need a little extra help. Whether it’s extra time on tests, modified assignments, or additional support during class, our support staff works closely with students and teachers to ensure accommodations are implemented effectively and consistently.
Working with IEPs
Living Word Lutheran participates in the Special Needs Scholarship Program (SNSP) through the State of Wisconsin. This program allows eligible students to receive tuition assistance while accessing accommodations aligned with their Individualized Education Plan (IEP). If you think your child might be eligible to apply, we encourage you to reach out to learn more about the process and how we can support your family.
"Double A" Mondays
At Living Word Lutheran, every student’s success matters. That’s why we have “Double A” Mondays (Academic Assistance). On Mondays, students have an early release at 1:55 PM, followed by Double A from 2:00–3:00 PM to catch up on work and get extra academic support.
-
Required Attendance: Students with missing work, failing grades, or other academic needs will meet with teachers. Parents and students will be notified.
-
Optional Support: Other students may leave early or meet with a teacher for extra help.
-
Supervised Study: Students waiting for rides or after-school practices can use the designated study hall room.
-
Monthly PD Mondays: Once a month, teachers have professional development. Only students with failing grades are required to stay; all others may leave early.
Double A Mondays help students stay on track, complete assignments, and succeed academically.
