About:

Tanner is a born and bred Wisconsinite and Lutheran. He is proud to have been taught in Lutheran schools for his entire education, including Living Word Lutheran. In his free time he remodels his house, cooks, reads, serves his Church (Pilgrim, West Bend) as Cantor and Elder, and spends time with his wife and their families. He also has a dog named Phoebe, whose hair rivals our dear Lord for omnipresence.

Favorite Bible Verse:

Romans 1:16-17

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”

Why send students to Living Word?

Living Word is a school where the teachings handed down to us, whether by word of mouth or by Scripture (2 Thess. 2:15) are the most important thing. Our lives are grounded in our baptized identity in Christ, and this includes teaching and learning. This also permeates our close-knit community, where students will know their teachers and the teachers their students; we are very much a family in Christ, both in good times and bad!
